FSD Africa
- FSD Africa is a specialist development agency set up to support innovative ideas to build and strengthen financial markets across Africa. It works to reduce poverty by strengthening Africa’s financial markets by tackling the most intractable financial market challenges in Africa – including deepening domestic capital markets through addressing the lack of long-term finance, especially in local currency, developing the capacity and pipeline for green finance and on financial innovation, in particular, digitisation to support increased financial inclusion, particularly for vulnerable groups.
FSD Kenya
- The Financial Sector Deepening Kenya (FSD Kenya) is an independent trust dedicated to the achievement of an inclusive financial system that supports Kenya's long-term development goals. We work closely with government, the financial services industry and other partners to develop financial solutions that better address the real world challenges faced by low-income households, enterprises and underserved groups such as women and youth.
FSD Network
- The FSD Network includes other financial sector development programmes based in various countries across sub-Saharan Africa. This confederation of more than 150 FSD professional staff enables effective market development by leveraging skills and expertise to achieve the aim of ‘making markets work for the poor’. Collectively referred to as FSDs
What we do
- FSDs team of financial sector experts work alongside governments, business leaders, regulators and policymakers to design and build ambitious programmes that make financial markets work better for everyone. Depending on the project, it can provide grants, investment capital, technical assistance and market insights (e.g. through research) to ensure it achieves its objectives
The Database - Ushauri
- Ushauri is a database of vendors who are experienced in one or more aspects of development. The database maintains information concerning their capabilities and experience, charge out rates and key personnel in the firm. The information is used in preparing short lists for tenders at FSD Africa. This database is intended to help the FSDs find the expertise we need to fully implement our programmes.
Registration
- If you are a vendor and would like to be listed on our database, please click here. The system will require you to verify your email address, so look out for the verification email to proceed. Once you are registered, you can then login and update your details as and when you need to. All postings will go through an approval process before being posted to the database.
